Trailer Interchange Coverage

Trailer Interchange

If you have a trailer interchange agreement, you need Trailer Interchange insurance to protect you and the owner of the trailer while you're in possession of a container or trailer that you don't own.

A trailer interchange agreement is a contractual arrangement between two trucking parties to transfer a trailer from one party to another in the process of completing a shipment. In this agreement, the trucker who is currently in possession of the trailer is typically responsible for any damage incurred while the trailer is under their control. The purpose of a trailer interchange agreement is to facilitate the smooth transfer of trailers between different truckers.

Customers purchasing Auto liability are eligible for Trailer Interchange insurance and there must be at least one trailer, owned or not owned, listed for each tractor.

We offer a variety of deductible options and limits to meet your specific agreement and coverage needs.
